TRAGODIA SERIES

Tragodia IV

Tragodia IV drops the crown and architectural framing used elsewhere in the series, leaving a dark, fractured bronze surface broken into angular shards rather than cracked evenly. Below the neck the torso tears open into jagged plates, closer to broken metal than to flesh.

Without a crown or collar to carry the symbolism, the piece makes its point through surface alone — the fracturing reading as structural failure rather than decoration. It’s the plainest statement in the series of what the work keeps returning to: a presence surviving past the point where it should have fallen apart.
