TRAGODIA SERIES

Tragodia II

Tragodia II is built around two forms taken from architecture rather than costume: a spiked, filigreed crown recalling wrought ironwork or coral, and a rose window — the kind found above a cathedral door. The face is marred across its surface, a network of fine cracks closer to old porcelain or dried clay than skin.

The rose window, ornament and structure, worn this way, it no longer frames a view — it has become the subject itself, the kind of promotion that happens to a detail once its context, the building, is gone. The tarnishing follows the same logic. It isn’t damage so much as evidence, a record of time passing written onto the face directly rather than implied by what surrounds it.
