Tragodia VII

Tragodia VII takes the form of a wall-mounted medallion rather than a bust — a full circle, half rose window and half face, cast as one continuous disc. An earring hangs from the one visible ear, a small, ordinary detail set against the ornamental ironwork filling the rest.

Where the rest of the series stands as busts, this one reads more like an object lifted from somewhere and mounted intact. The earring does the most work: a small personal detail often survives longest, long after the larger structure around it has worn to pattern.
